Hear what happened when Padraic got into the back of a van with Field Music, and we've been told that a particularly light fingered fan out there is in need of answering for the whereabouts of a hat that once belonged to the Gorgeous Colours. Our Twenty-first show sees Ayden manning the ship alone. But, unsurprisingly, he does a damn good job of things, bringing one of his faves, Sunny Day Sets Fire, into the studio for a chat, and digging out a world exclusive acoustic version of Guillemots’ Sao Paolo from when Fyfe Dangerfield came in. Alongside all that there’s the usual collection of astoundingly listenable British music…Enjoy your Christmas turkey listening to something other than Cliff and Bing.

CTP20 - The Blood Arm, Foals, Rumblestrips, Dead Disco
In this our twentieth show, we have done something slightly different. Thomas and Padraic headed down to The Insomniacs Ball, a musical extravaganza with 3 stages, 17 bands and lots of dancing. As well as listening a lot, we chatted to Dead Disco about a search for vodka, Foals about Andy Roddick’s speed of serve, Rumble Strips about blue skittles and The Blood Arm about the death and resurrection of their guitarist...and a few of the revellers.

CTP19 - Fyfe Dangerfield
A while back we received an email from a listener who'd passed a few sick hours sleeping to the sound of our voices and was eager to be on the show. That keen listener was Fyfe Dangerfield of Guillemot fame, who is in the studio this week, to inform you about the best Indian restaurant in Stoke Newington, and more. He also plays an acoustic session, including an impressive rendition of If The World Ends.

This week we have an Americana double header, but without any Americans. The bluegrass Barker Band are in the studio chatting to Ayden and Padraic, and treating us to a couple of songs on their vast array of twangy instruments as well as stories of canon-led funerals. Also, John caught up with Canadian folkster Jill Barber when she dipped briefly into London recently and finds out about her mute muse film performance. CTP16 - Martin Jondo
Continuing on from our Irish hiphop adventure, we go even further afield than Dublin this week, with a visit to Hamburg, where John talks to Martin Jondo, a reggae artist that’s catching ears beyond Germany’s shores. Ayden heads down to Dub Vendor in the mysterious depths of South London…Clapham Junction, and educates himself on a genre he’s less than authoritative in. Have a listen, you might even learn something. Mixed in there is the customary collection of interesting and eclectic British music.

CTP13 - The Immediate / The Victorian English Gentlemans Club
This week Padraic stepped back onto his Irish homeland and caught up with The Immediate, a Dublin fourpiece he tips for this years Album of the Year. Ayden went on his travels too, talking to The Victorian English Gentleman's Club on their countrywide tour. There's the usual collection of great British music, and it's all presented by our generally microphone shy producer, Thomas Muirhead.

This week Ayden and Padraic are as wistful and erratic as ever, getting lost in conversation with the frank Emmy the Great. She reveals a tendency to stalkerish behaviour and some toilet difficulties as well as playing us a couple of acoustic tracks live. Padraic has a chat to the boys from Memphis Industries and we throw at you our usual collection of intriguing, intelligent and impressive British music.

We celebrate our step into the bleakness beyond 10 shows by gathering the talents of three of London's best untapped music makers. We have Little Deathand in the studio, as well as catching up with Laura Groves straight after her first ever London gig. All of that as well as the usual finely tuned collection of exciting British music, and some silly banter.

CTP10 - Action Plan / Fear of Flying
We have Action Plan in the studio in London talking to Padraic and Ayden about their tendency to give money away, communal drunkeness and much more. Padraic also catches up with Fear of Flying (and their mum) at their debut single launch party, as well as a disastrous headphone hijack and, of course, a hefty wedge of some of the best music to be found on the British music scene.

The Ninth show is shaped by a rather rockier focus, including the sometimes loud Noisettes, who have come in to chat to Ayden and Padraic. There is also a lament for a lost band, an animal story, our single of the week, a Great British Classic, and much more, including the usual hotchpotch of great British music, right from the heart of London.

CTP8 - Jeremy Warmsley
The show this week Jeremy Warmsley in the studio in London discussing his music and playing a live version of his next release I believe in the way you move. Padraic chats to Alexis Petridis of the Guardian about the Mercury Music Prize, and they pick their winners. The music is of the usual high standard from the British music scene, with a slight bent towards female artists.

The show this week sees Ayden gallivanting somewhere so the reigns are steadied by the extremely competent, if slightly incomprehensibly Irish, Padraic. He chats to Toby L, the man behind one of the industry’s good independent record labels, Transgressive Records, about just that…running an independent label. The show also features the first of many Headphone Hijacks, a single of the week and much more, including of course lots of interesting music that we hope you’ll enjoy.
